21.05.08 3rd Joint FFC Workshop: Warrington

FFC3.jpgOn Wednesday the 21st May the ENA (in conjunction with ScottishPower) held their third Joint Fluid Filled Cable (FFC) Workshop with the Environment Agency at the Village Hotel in Warrington.

The event was well attended with presentations from FFC manufacturers Prysmiam, environmental consultants RSK and representatives of the Environment Agency, EDF Energy, National Grid, ScottishPower and CE Electric. The workshop concluded with a case study detailing a fictional FFC leak and examining the actions that would be taken by both the asset owner and the Environment Agency.
